Carrie Bradshaw’s hat is not what I thought I’d be writing about from the And Just Like That season 3 premiere, but here we are. When coupled with Blake Lively’s umbrella-size black-and-white sunhat in Another Simple Favor, it’s clear that over-the-top headgear is the look of the summer. And I’m here for it. When I bring it up to And Just Like That… creator Michael Patrick King, he jokes that Carrie’s look isn’t really a hat, but more like “the Hindenburg balloon that landed on her head when she was eating sherbet, and she just decided to go with it, somehow oddly matching her costume.
