A SHOCKED Reddit consumer has claimed that their Grandma's iPhone display was destroyed because she all the time had it on.
A picture of the damaged phone has been posted to the favored Reddit discussion board r/iphone.
"My grandmas iPhone 13, I've never seen display burn in this dangerous on a telephone," the Redditor wrote.
A picture accompanied the publish and revealed a really pale and bleached iPhone display.
The display resembled a washed-out previous photograph that's been left within the solar and not a sharp and crisp iPhone show.
"Did she identical to…. By no means ever flip the display off or even the brightness? Lol," one individual asked in the feedback.
"Yup… and stored it plugged into that temu charger 24/7. All the time felt like I might prepare dinner an egg on it," the poster replied.
"I've NEVER seen display burn in on an iPhone," another individual wrote.
"I've never seen it on any telephone. Just pc screens from the 80s and 90s (though I beloved my screensavers!!!)," one other replied.
Display burn can occur on smartphones with OLED shows.
Some individuals have even reported display burn points with the iPhone 15 vary, in line with Mashable.
An iOS 17.1 update was stated to repair a display burn situation for some users.
